I have always wanted to work with animals and have a passion for big cats. My dream is to travel to Africa to study them in their natural habitat but for now I am content with small animal practice. My favourite exotic animal would have to be a tie between Snow Leopards and Red Pandas and my favourite domestic are cats of course! I have two well-loved house cats, Loki and Thor and plan to add a German Shepherd to the mix at some stage.
I started studying Veterinary Nursing in 2003. I did certificate IV in animal laboratory
technology and finished my certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing in 2006. I have worked in a few
other clinics around Adelaide, but love working at the Hawthorn Veterinary Hospital the
most. My special area of interest is surgical nursing.
I have a Labrador Oscar and a cat Abby, I also have two horses Patrick and Valen that I
ride with my mum any chance I get.
I have been vet nursing for 10 years and have spent all of this time in small animal practise. My current fur family consists of 2 cats, Bromyde and Lucy who are both rescue cats, and 2 dogs Sophie and Gilly. In recent years Gilly, my 10 year old Kelpie X, became a certified Delta Therapy dog, he has since retired due to his age and health. Sophie is a small 4 year old Terrier X and likes to believes she runs the household! I also have a keen interest in horses, especially Natural Horsmanship, & emergency vet nursing.
I have been nursing at the Hawthorn Vet Hospital since 2006. I completed my Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing in 2011. I have a very keen interest in weight loss and weight management in dogs and cats through premium pet food diets and how premium foods aid in your pets overall health. My favourite aspects of surgical nursing are emergency and orthopedics. My ‘fur baby’ is my rottweiler ‘Elle’ and i also have two guinea pigs ‘Noddy’ and ‘Patty’.
